Position Overview

As a Manager Restructuring, you will lead client engagements and restructuring projects, helping distressed companies navigate complex financial and operational challenges. You will lead strategic initiatives, develop tailored financial solutions, and coordinate communication among stakeholders. You will guide a team of analysts and consultants, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of project outcomes. This role also requires active involvement in business development and the ongoing enhancement of the firm’s services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead restructuring projects, from diagnostics to the implementation of financial and operational turnaround strategies.

  • Oversee the preparation and validation of detailed financial and operational analyses, including liquidity forecasts, financial models, and restructuring plans.

  • Act as a key advisor in negotiations with creditors, investors, and shareholders.

  • Develop and present restructuring options and strategies to clients, ensuring alignment with their financial objectives.

  • Manage project teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of professional growth.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects that contribute to the firm’s growth and service expansion.

  • Drive business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and expanding client relationships.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements related to restructuring engagements.

Job requirements

  • Master degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier institution.

  • More than 3 years of experience in restructuring, corporate finance, transaction services or financial advisory, credit manager with proven leadership capabilities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key issues in distressed companies.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proven track record in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership and team management experience.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines.

  • Fluency in Dutch, French and English is required.

  • Willingness to be based in Brussels with occasional travel across international teams especially between Brussels and Amsterdam.
