Strategy - Energy Infrastructure - Manager / Senior Manager

To strengthen our German office (Frankfurt, Cologne, Hamburg, Munich), we are seeking an ambitious and dedicated professional to join our team as a Manager / Senior Manager Infrastructure Strategy & Operations.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Manager / Senior Manager, you will play a central role in supporting our clients across energy (electricity, gas, and heat) and selected infrastructure sectors (foremost waste, water, and transportation). You will:

• work in a highly professional environment to assess and design strategic programs, operational model redesigns, performance improvement, and perform M&A-related activities including commercial due diligence, carve-outs, or integrations.

• manage project teams and lead workstreams, actively contributing to the development and expansion of Strategy practice at a European level.

• collaborate closely with experts from Transformation, Restructuring, Valuations, Tax, and Transaction Services, focusing on the strategic, technical, and operational dimensions of infrastructure transformation projects.

• engage directly with top management of our clients, assume responsibilities in business development and marketing initiatives, and contribute to the continued growth of our rapidly expanding advisory business.

To ensure we find the best candidate for this role, we are looking for: 

• a Master’s or Ph.D. degree with excellent academic performance from a renowned university or business school, ideally in economics, engineering, finance, infrastructure management, energy management, or a related field -

• high motivation, strong initiative, reliability, and resilience.

• the ability to excel in complex and challenging situations, working in a structured and solution‑oriented manner.

• 5–8 years of professional experience in infrastructure strategy, infrastructure transformation, (transaction) advisory, asset management, energy & utilities, or a comparable environment.

• expertise in one or more of the following: infrastructure strategy, operating model redesign, carve-out/integration, value creation, performance improvement, investment and asset portfolio analysis, or commercial/operational due diligence within the utilities industry.

• additional prior sector-specific utility experience, particularly in energy generation, trading, networks, and sales is advantageous.

• full professional proficiency in German and English; French is a strong plus.
