Eight Advisory was founded in 2009 in France by 8 former partners of Arthur Andersen / Big4 companies as a firm specialized in Transaction Services, Valuation, Restructuring, and Transformation. Today, Eight Advisory has grown to 950+ employees (including 115 partners) in France, the UK, Belgium, Netherlands, USA (New York), Spain, Germany and Switzerland. Together with the Eight International Network, counting over 650 employees in more than 20 countries, we respond to a growing demand for financial advice from private equity firms, medium- and large-sized corporates, and investment banks.

We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Strategic Valuation & Modelling team in Munich or Frankfurt as an Analyst:

 

  • You will support us as fully integrated team member on planning, executing and delivering various Valuation & Modelling Services for private equity and corporate clients.

  • Your responsibilities, as part of the project team, will encompass projects with respect to valuation of companies, tangible and intangible assets, purchase price allocations, impairment tests and financial deal modelling as well as the assessment of strategic alternatives related to tax, transactional, and accounting matters.

  • Identifying and understanding the key business and value drivers and provide added value to the client through our services and the deliverables we produce.

  • Preparation of deliverables including reports, presentations, financial models and discussions with the different stakeholders.

  • With full involvement from beginning to end, you will gain intensive knowledge and understanding of valuation and financial modelling

Job requirements

To ensure that we find the best candidate for this position, we expect the following from our future Analyst:

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a hunger to be exposed to challenging projects

  • Excellent analytical skillset and an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Knowledge of IFRS, German GAAP and accounting

  • Basic knowledge on valuation principles (Discounted Cash Flow Methods, Cost of Capital Multiple approach)

  • Fluency in German and English

  • Proficient in MS Office (especially MS Excel)

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a renowned university/ business school with preferably a major in Finance, Accounting, business administration or similar

  • First work experience or previous internships in valuation or finance e.g. audit/ accounting/ M&A/ Controlling
